Mrs. Ginny Gilbertsen grew up in Hazelwood, Mo graduating from Hazelwood West. After graduating from Maryville University with a BA in elementary education (and in 1997 a Master’s
degree) she began teaching in 1986 in the same district. When she and her family moved to O’Fallon, MO to help start a new church, she also began teaching special education for The School District of Washington. She taught there until 2019 when she retired.

After retirement Ginny worked part time for the district tutoring at the various private schools in the area which led her to St. Gertrude.
Ginny and her husband, Mike, share 5 children and 10 grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with family, working in their yard in Defiance, hiking, traveling, reading, and most recently Ginny began playing the drums.
