Mrs. Kathy Lause has just started her first year teaching at St. Gertrude.  She is the 7th grade homeroom teacher and teaches Math and Science for 6th, 7th and 8th grades.  She comes to us from the public school system, where she taught grades K-12 for the past 30 years.  Her focus there was in special education.  Mrs. Lause earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from University of Missouri- St. Louis and her Master’s degree from Webster University.

 

Mrs. Lause grew up in St. Charles, Missouri where she attended Catholic grade school and high school.  Mrs. Lause has been a member of St. Gertrude Parish for the past 11 years. She and her husband John together have 6 children after recently adopting the youngest two, with the school ager attending St. Gertrude. They enjoy taking care of the animals on their hobby farm, fishing, and boating.  She also has 8 grandchildren to keep her busy.
