Amanda Forget grew up in Labadie. She and her husband Dan both attended local Catholic grade schools and are graduates of St. Francis Borgia Regional High School. They have one son Luke who has just started preschool at St. Gertrude. Amanda enjoys reading and a warm mug of tea on her back deck. She also enjoys outings with her family camping, floating down a river, or boating on Table Rock Lake.
This is Amanda’s first year at SGS, but her 13th year in education. She has split her time between third grade and middle school English the past 12 years. She is excited to be back in the elementary classroom. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Missouri State University as well as a Master of Arts degree in Reading Education from Fontbonne University. Amanda is dedicated to helping students foster a love of learning, especially reading. She also loves to incorporate technology and help students connect learning to the real world.
